Saluting innovation at Jetblue for launching a premium airline service with the latest technology and a luxurious feel. Mint, the new premium transcontinental service from JetBlue includes 16 seats that lie completely flat. They are the widest and longest fully-flat beds in the domestic market. The service also features four private suites, offering an elite group of passengers a touch of privacy and more direct attention. Each seat has a 15 inch flat screen with over a hundred DIRECTV and SiriusXM satellite radio channels to choose from. In addition to these already over the top amenities, Mint seats also include a built-in massage function, air cushions with adjustable firmness, and a “wake me for service” indicator that allows passengers to fully customize their experience. And it all begins before you even take off with flight attendants serving signature drinks and cocktails pre-departure. During the flight passengers can choose from a tapas style menu by New York City restaurant Saxon+Parole followed by dessert and treats by Blue Marble Ice Cream and Mah-ze-Dahr Bakery. Mint was launched on June 15th and is already creating memorable experiences in the air between New York and Los Angeles. JetBlue plans to expand the new premium service with routes to San Francisco in October. Starting at $599 round trip, they are providing similar services to business or first class on United, Delta, Virgin America and American at a much lower rate. We salute JetBlue for being extraordinary and creating a “feel good” way to fly.
